"To me, an experience on the Colorado Plateau is more akin to an epiphany. Each visit, each adventure allows me to experience the sensual lines of the landscape, the warm incandescent light and such wonderful forms; one cannot help but feel the sudden realization of all that is important and the spiritual nature of place."

Plateau's Light is a culmination of several dreams and desires; whose primary purpose through the art of the photograph, is to convey the beauty of the Colorado Plateau, in hopes that each guest, or each collector or each art aficionado will admire, respect this land I so love.
 
I am originally from California where my interest in photography first began. Although not classically trained in the medium, I was fortunate to learn the craft with little outside pressures except for my own motivations and desires. Because of my experiences in scouting, I already had an affinity and respect for nature, photography just enhanced this. So, I could visit locations such as Yosemite and Crater Lake that were very close, and learn more of the technical aspects of photography, as well as develop my own sense of composition.

I first learned of the landscapes of Utah and the Colorado Plateau from Geology classes while enrolled in college. Upon my first visit, and seeing these beautiful and wonderful landscapes, a greater sense of purpose occurred to me; and thus the beginnings of Plateau's Light were born.
I now live in Salt Lake City , Utah ; so adventures and visits to the Plateau are just a short drive away. The journey continues..
